Ural Motorcycles The Russian motorcycle manufacturer, Ural Motorcycles, launched a new generation of sidecar motorbikes. The Ural Gear Up Sidecar has a two-wheel drive option which makes for even better traction for a sidecar. Russia invaded Ukraine, the Urals have shifted production from Russia to Kazakhstan. This Gear Up is one of the first new models to be produce from the new factory. Gear Up comes with a 2-cylinder 4-stroke air-cooled OHV flat twin OHV engine with a capacity of 745 cc.
The 745 cc engine can produce a maximum output of 41 Tk at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 56.9 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The Gear Up front suspension supporte by IMZ leading link fork. While the rear suspension has two side swingarm with two Sachs hydraulic spring shock absorbers. And the sidecar suspension has one side swingarm with Sachs hydraulic spring shock.
In addition to the three different suspension points, there are also three different brakes.
The front brakes have four-piston fixed Brembo calipers with 295 mm floating NG rotors. Meanwhile, the rear brake has a fixed two-piston Brembo caliper with 265mm NG floating rotors, with a self-contained mechanical parking brake caliper. The sidecar brakes have fixed two-piston Brembo calipers with 245mm floating NG rotors.
The dimensions for the sidecar are: the overall length of the vehicle is 2.5 meters, the overall height is 1.3 meters and then the width of the vehicle is 1.6 meters. The total dry weight of the sidecar is 331 kg. The fuel tank capacity holds 5 gallons of fuel with additional gallons to spare as well. With this capacity, Ural claims that the Gear Up is able to cover a distance of about 265 miles.
The Sidecar Gear Up comes in eight standard colors. The colors are: Slate Grey, Bronze Satin, Flat Green, Terracotta Satin, Rainier White, Northwest Grey, Klein Blue and Terracotta Metallic. Ural also provides a two-year warranty on the Gear Up sidecar that covers unlimited kilometers, parts and service.
